Piñata is a project made by MID for +Castro agency and the SAKE production company from Buenos Aires (Argentina). The piñatas were installed for the Trident Senses brand at Benicàssim International Festival (FIB).
MID is in charge of the design, development, and installation of the interactive piñatas, which are controlled via Twitter messages sent by the audience. Every tweet contains a determinate hashtag, #TridentSensesPinata, which activates and controls a device that inflates the piñata with a set volume of air. Every tweet generates a jet of 10 cm3 of air. As messages accumulate, the piñata explodes.
In FIB, four piñatas, which were full of chewing gum and promotional gifts, exploded.
